Councillor Paul Bell AM
has continuously over the last 20 years served the Emerald
Shire community as a Councillor. He has held the positions of Shire
Chairman and Mayor and represented the community
on all committees of Council. Paul was elected by
his peers to the positions of President of the Local Government Association
of Queensland and the Australian Local Government
Association. He represents Local Government at
COAG and on the Local Government and Planning, Transport, and
Augmented Police Ministers Councils. Paul is Deputy Chairman of
Queensland Rail Board and is also a Board member
of Queensland Local Government Superannuation,
Local Buy and Australian Local Government Training. Paul was awarded an AM
for his services to Local Government on Australia
Day 2005.
