Multicultural images sought……

Locals are encouraged to get their camera clicking to come up with images suitable to enter in the Multicultural Photographic Competition which is part of the Emerald Multicultural Festival in April.

This year’s theme is ‘Celebrating Cultural Diversity’ with sections for professional, novice as well as primary and secondary students. Photographs taken at last year’s Multicultural Festival are eligible for entry.

To cut down on all the clean up after the event the organising committee has decided that this year the photographs will not be returned, so please send copies.

CQ News is sponsoring this competition and has put up $300 prize money to be spread over the sections. An entry form can be collected from CQ News and council’s reception as well as CHDC in the Wally McKenzie Building in the showgrounds, or by emailing; redward@chdc.com.au or calling 4982 4386.

Entries close on Monday 14 April so that judging can take place that week and the entries displayed at the Information booth at the Emerald Multicultural Festival. This event will take place on Saturday 19 April from 4-11pm at the Emerald Racecourse. Entry is free.
